The health and wellbeing of our families and staff are our highest priorities. In the interest of limiting the opportunity for transmission to our vulnerable community, we are taking the following precautionary measures: sickness, illness - if children or staff are not feeling well, please stay home and heal. If we identify a child or staff member who exhibits 'common cold' or 'flu' symptoms, we will have them return home or to alternate care. Any individual with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 must remain out of the center until receiving medical clearance to return. This includes any individual with pick up and/or drop off privileges. Individuals in the same household are considered close contact. Individual who are in close contact and returning travelers from a hotspot must remain out of center for 14 days after returning to the U.S. You must obtain medical clearance before returning to the center if traveler or individual have symptoms. We practice regular hygiene with regular and thorough cleaning of classrooms, surfaces and toys. We also teach the regular hand washing to the children.
A Mother's Heart Learning center shall maintain a current, accurate written record of the daily attendance and date of birth for each child for the length of time the child is enrolled. Written attendance and/or cards will also be used for tracking during transportation of the children.
In case of an emergency requiring evacuation, children and staff will leave the building through the nearest, safe exit. Teachers will leave the classroom with their attendance records and emergency contact cards to ensure all children are accounted for. Fire plan, flash flood plan, loss of services plan, extreme temperatures plan, tornado warning plan, missing child plan, threat plan and injury plans are all set in place to protect the children in the best way possible.
